I was born and raised in Washington D.C. and am proud to call myself a Serbian-American. My experiences growing up in America in a vibrant Serbian community and frequently traveling back to Serbia have shaped me and my view of the world in immeasurable ways.
With this global perspective, I traveled to the UK to complete my studies, earning an MA in Economics from the University of Edinburgh and an MSc in International Health Management from Imperial College London. I returned to the US to pursue a medical degree and am currently a medical student at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
Over the years, I have become even more connected to my Serbian roots and appreciate more than ever the resilience, tenacity, and spirit of Serbian people. Being involved in SAMA allows me to integrate my passion for medicine and health economics towards giving back to the country that has enriched my life in so many ways.
