A mobile gynecological outpatient clinic started operating in Rekovac

Dom zdravlja Rekovac started the action of preventive gynecological examinations in the field with the aim of early detection of cervical cancer.

Thanks to the involvement and donation of the Serbian-American Medical Association, the mobile gynecological clinic is back in operation after several years. Inspections began in the village of Kalenički Prnjavor, which is also the furthest village from Rekovac. About 30 women were examined.

This type of preventive action on the ground is unique in Serbia and will continue in other villages in the municipality of Rekovac. Malignant diseases of the cervix and breast are leading in the female population. At the beginning of the disease, women do not have symptoms, and they usually see a doctor when it is too late.

That is why it is very important to regularly perform preventive examinations, in order to detect the disease in the initial phase, when cure is possible.
