A first-generation Serbian-American with long-lasting ties to Zrenjanin, Serbia. As a child, I visited Serbia every summer for many months at a time and developed an intimate relationship with the community. Now, I am senior at the University of Maryland, College Park, studying Physiology and Neurobiology, and I plan to become a physician. Volunteering for SAMA has given me the opportunity to help others in need and to fulfill my humanitarian goals.
