The Health Center in Brus serves a large number of remote villages, some of them even 60km away from the Health Center. The small team of dedicated doctors at the Health Center in Brus is well versed in using ultrasound in their everyday diagnostic work, however, they were lacking portable equipment that could be used during home visits. The plan supported by this SAMA donation is to train emergency doctors and nurses in the operation of ultrasound, and improve the level of care they can provide to villagers.
The Mindray Z5 portable ultrasound system was delivered to the Health Center in December 2014.
