On October 29, 2024, SAMA hosted a highly successful fundraising event at the Topaz Café, generously sponsored by Branko Palikuca. Branko provided the beautiful space and excellent food, creating the perfect atmosphere for the evening. The event was meticulously organized by Tanya Radakovich and her dedicated team, who worked tirelessly to ensure everything went smoothly.
Approximately 50 guests attended the gathering, united by their shared commitment to improving the lives of communities in need. Thanks to the efforts of the organizers and the generosity of those in attendance, nearly $92,000 was raised, with additional donations still coming in. The funds will be directed toward an important initiative: the renovation of five health centers in urgent need of repair. The health centers—located in Gornja Trnava, Usce, Belusic, Rebrovo, and Srpska Crnja—are currently in disrepair, and these funds will help restore them to proper working condition, ensuring better access to healthcare for the local populations.
The evening featured a presentation by Dr. Ivan Aksentijevich, who shared the results of last year’s fundraiser and the positive impact it had on communities in Dubica, Ljubinje, and Gacko. The success of these previous efforts was clearly reflected in the improvements to local infrastructure and healthcare services in those areas.
Tanya Radakovich also presented the current fundraising goal and highlighted the urgent need to restore the five health centers. The renovation of these centers will not only enhance healthcare delivery but also contribute to the overall well-being of the communities they serve.
The event was a powerful reminder of the importance of community support and the difference that can be made when people come together for a common cause.
